Fifteen years ago, in history class at school, we had the task of drawing a family tree to our great-grandparents in a notebook. Then I was seized with curiosity as to whether it would go back any further. A rough line was already available as clan research (from around 1940). In 2010 matricula went online and my search deepened. Up until two years ago I was still drawing on slips of paper (around 10,000 people), and I have been using a genealogy program for a year. My particular focus is on etymological name derivations, house chronicles and rule protocols.
